During your last class you should have completed your 3D model of a DNA strand using the rubric I provided you. By next class you must complete your written description of your model following the rubric as well (see below). If you were not able to complete your model in class, please create a model at home (use what ever you'd like), label the model using the rubric and send me a picture of the completed model.

Homework InstructionsMany of us did not get a chance to finish building our 2d paper models in class today, so I am attaching the instructions to this post. You will cut out and glue your model onto page 40 in your notebook. You will not be able to start your assignment in class (which will be due by the end of class) until you have shown me a correct paper model. Your DNA model must have a least 5 base pairs (rungs on the ladder). If you've lost the pieces I have attached the pdf of the images you need here. I have also attached a copy of the after-test extra credit assignment I gave out in case you lost that (or never picked it up).
For Next Class:We will be created a 3d model of DNA in class using what ever you like from my craft bucket. You will need to show the pieces of the nucleotide (phosphate, sugar, base) and how everything is connected. If you have any specific items that you would like to use (Or if you would like to donate any items for every one to use!) please bring them to our next class
See you next class! If you failed our Unit 2 test and wish to retest please complete the attached assignment before coming in to do you retest. You will not be allowed to complete the retest without turning in this assignment.
We are trying to complete all retests by Oct 20th so that they will show up on our IPRs. Retests can be scheduled during tutorials. Contact me for more information |
